I find myself taking more pictures with my phone than the camera these days. They aren’t great quality, but something is better than nothing, right? Here are some pictures from the last few weeks:
Ruth with her sweet friend, Katherine. They are 4 days apart in age and so so cute!! Jake helped K’s daddy put together a swing set and these girls sat on the blanket to supervise (Ruth was singing/talking in the picture
)

On June 30th, I took the kids to a Natural’s baseball game. Isaiah loves games. When we arrived, I stopped to talk to a friend we saw, and he started begging and screaming “I wanna watch baseball!!” as he pulled my arm to go. Emelyn likes to go too, but more because of the food and play area.

Also, in the last week, we finally decided to try potty-training. I wasn’t crazy about it, but Isaiah has been telling us he wants to go on the potty, so we decided it was time. He’s been doing great so far. It was like Christmas morning here when I came home with Lightning McQueen undies. He regularly tells me not to worry because he won’t pee on Lightning. (Probably because every hour I ask if he needs to go potty because I don’t want to clean up accidents!! Ha!)

Saturday morning the kids spotted a turtle by our backdoor. They were in awe and couldn't believe how little it was. I forget that the only turtles they’ve seen are at zoos (and very LARGE there) or in books.

Our new friend:

They were a little scared to be by it:

Ruth also had a tu-tu party Saturday morning. Being at the party with all the other girls her age made me realize again how laid back and happy our little princess is! I think she was the only one not screaming or pulling at her tutu.

This is what I get to end my day with every night – so many smiles and sweet jabbers from this cutie after filling her tummy for the night! This is probably one of my favorite stages – sleeps 11 hours at night and 3 during the day – super happy when awake and doesn’t talk back yet. She’s been getting up between 6 and 6:30 so we’ve been enjoying a walk – just the two of us – to start our day which has been a special time.

Emelyn had her three month check up this week for her eyes. She has made some great improvements and because of that, we will go back again in 3 months to track the change again – if she continues to improve at this rate, we may need to change her rx at that time. I have to say that she has done great these last 3 months about wearing her glasses without complaining. So proud of her! When she was in this chair, she said she felt like Alice from Alice in Wonderland:

And the other two patiently waiting at the optometrist’s office:

One of Ruth’s new faces… she likes to scrunch up her nose and snort, then starts giggling at herself because she knows she’s being silly. So funny…
