Craftiness

Everyday Emelyn has to rest/play quietly during nap time and I'm always amazed at the things she comes up with. She often takes blank paper, markers, scissors etc.. Into her room and comes out having made things like this:

(That's a duck in case you're wondering.) While I realize this isn't a masterpiece, the fact that she can come up with, design and create anything at all amazes this analytical- minded momma!

Happy birthday Jake!

Jake’s birthday was yesterday, and while he didn’t think it was a big deal we have three kiddos who DID think it was a big deal. So it became a big deal.  

The kids all woke up early, eager to have daddy open the presents they made and bought him. The each picked out a new shirt for him:

And then Jake came home at 3 to surprise the kids after their naps which made their day. He also asked if anyone would like to dig into his rice krispies before supper (his gluten free version of birthday cake) and they happily screamed “YES!”

We are so grateful for you Jacob and love you!

Happy Birthday Ruth!

On Ruth’s birthday we had a special time with family and friends celebrating our sweet little girl. Tom & Mary came (Ruth’s BSF teacher and also our neighbors,) along with G&G C, Eric, Kelsey and Payten and Hayley and her mom. Such a sweet, special group of people that are dear to our family!
