Hayley's wedding!

This weekend our kids were in Hayley and Drew's wedding. It came at a perfect time since we had to pass Elizabeth on to her new family Thursday.
Here they are practicing:
And then right before the wedding:
And after. They did great!
And then their favorite part... Dancing!

Ruth telling Drew something important:
Emelyn and Drew twirling:
Isaiah and Ruth swing dancing:
Ruth was like the energizer bunny and kept going and going...
She joined the train with her new friends (the bridesmaids:)
(The hat was leftover from the photo booth.)
And then she wanted to learn the YMCA with Anne Marie:
Emelyn and Ruth really enjoyed dancing but surprisingly, Isaiah didn't, and kept asking if we could go because he was tired. He did dance a little though:
We came back this afternoon and this will be the first week in almost a year that will be "normal" again with just our three kids!

Cinderella.

Emelyn, mom and I went to see Cinderella last week... I think she liked it!

Special weekend

Thursday I helped host Emelyn's class Valentine's Day party. It's always such a treat to get to see her in her classroom with her friends!
Friday night Jake took Emelyn on a Daddy/Daughter date night to watch the Arkansas Gymbacks compete:
Today I took Emelyn and Isaiah to a parade where we met our sweet friends. The "family friendly" Mardi Gras parade was not what we anticipated... Nor did I expect all the questions like "what does Mardi Gras mean?"... "Why are all the people acting so funny?" ... "What is THAT?" ... "Why is everyone throwing beads... Where's the candy?!?" Needless to say, we likely won't be returning!!
After the parade we went to Braums and Jake, Ruth and Elizabeth met us there after naps. Can you tell she can't stand the stuff?!? 😉
And tonight at supper this little lady was full of kisses for everyone:

A little frozen on snow days

We had a little snow earlier this month and the kids had two snow days. They spent those days preparing a "frozen" show:
To top it off, Chickfila had a family "Frozen" night that week too:
After some supper, the kids put on their show:
