Grading papers

Ruth and I get to help grade papers for Emelyn's teacher. This week Ruth got to help stamp the papers. She was just a little excited!

Family Night

Every Friday night here is family movie and pizza night. We take turns choosing the pizza, dessert, and movie. Last night was Ruth's turn, and she asked if we could have a picnic at the park instead of a movie. She made cheerio bars (using chocolate Cheerios instead of plain!) and then she picked out her pizza and we took it to the park for a picnic. She was in heaven, we had the park to ourselves, and everyone had a wonderful time. Such wonderful weather for being outdoors!

Mail

Emelyn received some mail this week from the Chief Justice of the Arkansas Supreme Court. (He is also Emelyn's Sunday school teacher, and drives back from Little Rock every weekend to teach the second graders the Bible. An amazing judge AND teacher!)

Neighbors!

Last Saturday we gathered with neighbors for supper, pumpkin carving and a movie. Fun times!

Branson!

We pulled the kids out of school one day this week, and went to Branson to join my parents at Silverdollar city. Such a fun and beautiful day.

Ears pierced

One of Emelyn's birthday gifts was getting her ears pierced. She was very brave!

Field Trip

I enjoyed chaperoning Emelyn's class last week on their field trip to the Amazuem. Such great kids!

Happenings lately...

These two still nap together every Saturday and Sunday... Jake will be very sad when he doesn't have a valid excuse to take long naps on the weekend anymore!!

I got to help Isaiah and his classmates make scarecrows one day this week ... So much fun seeing Isaiah in his own element! 

A couple days each week Ruth and I usually end up at the school to help the teachers. Ruth ends up joining in with whatever Emelyn and Isaiah are doing. Can you spot her in the picture? She always jumps right in with whatever they are learning!

And finally, we've had a couple of extra friends staying with us for three weeks now and the kids are enjoying them!

Football Snuggles

It's finally cool enough to snuggle under blankets watching football!
