Ruth’s Second Birthday!!

On Friday, September 12th, we had a fun little party for Miss Ruth!

Since she always gets excited to see Olaf, we thought this giant stuffed Olaf would be a hit…. WRONG. She was scared of it and we exchanged it for Minnie Mouse.

Isaiah & Emelyn picked out this baby doll and it was probably her favorite (and my least favorite) birthday present. It has this lovely bottle that makes the baby cry a very accurate wail when it is close to the baby. The bottle is now on a top shelf away from the baby.

On Monday September 15th, her actual birthday, Meme and Papa Tom came over to BBQ with us:

Ruth asked all day, each meal, for cupcakes, which she sweetly followed with the reminder that “It’s my birthday!!” So, we went to the store and bought some more cupcakes just because you only turn 2 once…

Friday I took her in for her 2 year well check. Long story short, she’s huge (36 inches tall (95th percentile), 31 pounds (90th percentile)) and healthy.

First Day of Kid’s Day Out

On September 11th, Isaiah and Ruth started Kid’s Day Out. Every Thursday they go for 5 hours and while they have fun there, I get a lot of stuff done (so far, dentist appointments, a garage door repaired, house cleaning and grocery shopping!)

Ruth’s Two Year Pictures

I took Ruth to JcPenney’s this week to have her 2 year pictures taken. Those photographers are amazing! Ruth was determined NOT to smile which means I was holding her or tickling her in almost every picture and thanks to photo-shop I was cropped out of most of them. These pictures melt my heart. When did my baby become such an independent beautiful little lady?!?
