SDC

We went to Silver Dollar City this weekend and enjoyed beautiful weather, short lines and even ran into some friends! Oh... And we realized that Ruth has no fear and wants to try every daring ride possible. 😳

Writing on "THE WALL"

Isaiah, Ruth and I went to Emelyn's school this morning to help clean the classroom and take down things (tomorrow is the last day!!) While there, Emelyn was called to the Principals office and upon arriving, was told she gets to sign the reading wall as a first grader who met her reading goal. She had read 54 books this year at her reading level! I'm a little jealous that she got to read that many books this year!! :)

Bowling!

Emelyn's school hosted a "family fun weekend" which started with bowling last night. It was fun to be with classmates and teachers celebrating a good school year! Last day is Wednesday!

Baseball

It was a beautiful evening ... Perfect for baseball! We took the kids to watch the Naturals and we had one baseball watcher and three people watchers. :)
Ruth thought this hat would be perfect for the football/basketball/"what is it again mom?" game.
By the end of the game, Emelyn was able to read the score board and knew we had 11 hits (to the Driller's 1) and also knew what each base was and how the team gets a "run."

Speedy Skunk Run!

This morning we got up early to run in the Speedy Skunk and Little Stinker Run. It was a great day for running (although a little foggy and misty!) We finished the morning with cinnamon rolls at Briar Rose Bakery (for those of you without little girls... That's the cottage in Sleeping Beauty!) The kids used the fairy entrance. And since then, our two little stinkers have been "spraying" people with their tails.
You can't lose us!!

KDO Pre-K Graduation

Isaiah graduated from Kids Day Out tonight and did an awesome job singing and reciting his bible verses.
He looked like he was on the sidelines instead of waiting for a diploma! Ha!
Getting his diploma. He wants to be a police man when he grows up:
Papa Tom and Mae-Mae came to congratulate Isaiah:
Emelyn's ballet teacher was there too so we took a quick picture with her.

Mothers Day Weekend

We went to KS over Mother's Day weekend to meet my new nephew and to spend time with family. So much fun! But before we left, the kids gave me their gifts. So many sweet homemade cards and pictures, along with a journal/tea cup/notebook set. Emelyn also surprised me with this mint plant... So I'm enjoying hot mint tea this morning!
Sweet baby Zechariah!
Enjoying a picnic outside with a neighborhood kid at Jonathans's.
Great-great Aunts are the best! More cookies, ice cream, cinnamon rolls, Rice Krispies etc... then my kids knew what to do with. They are asking when we can go back already! (And also asking why we can't live closer to family :'(
Playing on the KSU campus
Mothers Day - the reasons I get to celebrate!
