35th Wedding Anniversary
Last weekend we ventured to Kansas to celebrate my parent’s 35th wedding anniversary.
We had fun seeing family, and dancing too!
Sisters:
Siblings (minus Andrew and Isaac)
These two cousins were inseparable:
Ruth tuckered out and took a nap with Grandma:
Ruth claimed Jonathan as her dance partner of choice:
Dancing to our father/daughter song, “My Girl”

Pumpkin Carving and Outside Movie
Tonight we got together with our neighbors to carve pumpkins, share favorite fall foods and then watched “It’s a Great Pumpkin, Charlie Brown.” The fellowship and beautiful weather was the best part of all though!
Jake and John working on supper:
Diligently working on the girl’s choice of carving – Tinker Bell. Poor Isaiah gets outvoted a lot these days…
Nothing beats an outdoors movie:
Happy birthday Emelyn!
On October 12th, Emelyn turned 6. We had a really fun day at home celebrating her. Isaiah, Ruth and K were super excited on her birthday morning and couldn’t wait for Emelyn to open their gifts.
Emelyn was very thankful Isaiah gave her the Anna Barbie:
And I think Ruth did well when picking out an Ariel play dough set for Emelyn:
Meme and Papa Tom came over to celebrate with us too:
Vanzant’s Pumpkin Patch
A couple of Saturday’s ago, we met some friends at a local pumpkin patch. The kids had fun picking out pumpkins and the dad’s had the great idea to use the wagons to ride down hills.

Emelyn’s 6 year old pictures
Emelyn will be 6 tomorrow and we spent today doing some of the things she loves. After playing with some friends at Chuck E Cheese, I took Emelyn to get a manicure and since she was done before me, we asked them to fix her hair too (straightened and half back in a fish tail braid.) Then we went to JcPenneys to have her 6 year old pictures taken. I don’t know when she grew up. Here are a few of my favorites:
After pictures we also did some “window shopping” which is so much fun with a little girl that loves girly stuff and all things pretty! She made a list of things she wants to save her money for now.
