... is gone!

Eclipse

Monday afternoon Ruth and I went to school to watch the eclipse with Emelyn and Isaiah. It was really neat watching the sky get darker and to see the sliver of the sun remaining! 

New beds

This summer the girls asked if they could get individual beds instead of their bunk bed. A few weeks ago we switched bedroom furniture and gave them the twin beds from our guest room and they were really excited. We then picked out new bedding which they loved shopping for. Then last week I took the girls shopping to pick out wall decor and they each found cute sayings and verses for their sides of the room. Finally, we found them bookcase headboards and Emelyn's is filled with books, Ruth's with her stuffed animals. They are loving their "new" room!

Someone lost another tooth today!

Weekend

This past weekend we fit in some last minute fun before school started. Friday night we went to the Natural's Baseball "Faith and Family Night." Micah Tyler performed pre-game and there were beautiful fireworks after the game! Then Saturday Isaiah and I had a date. He chose bowling and then wanted to go to Wendy's to get their baconator fries. He said they were everything he thought they be! Sunday afternoon, we enjoyed a nice cool baseball game again. Our local library game each kid tickets for completing the summer reading program. The kids each toward walked onto the field before the game and got a free meal too. They had a lot of fun!

Today was Emelyn's first day of 3rd grade and Isaiah's first day of 1st grade. They both had a good day and have two amazing teachers!
